Empowering India’s Retail Frontline for Energy Efficiency

Anant Enterprises has been at the forefront of driving energy efficiency awareness in India’s retail and consumer appliance sectors. As a key Facilitator (Consulting) in the Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s (BEE) Standards & Labelling (S&L) programme, we have successfully trained over 4,500 sales personnel across major appliance retail outlets nationwide.
The S&L programme, launched by BEE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, aims to promote the adoption of energy-efficient appliances by empowering consumers with information through energy performance labels. Recognizing the critical role of the retail sales force as direct influencers of consumer choice, Anant Enterprises developed and delivered a robust, interactive training curriculum to equip sales staff with the knowledge and communication skills necessary to effectively explain star labelling and energy savings to customers.
Training Modules Emphasized
These sessions were conducted in collaboration with leading industry partners and retail networks. We combined in-person workshops with multimedia tools, hands-on demonstrations, and pre/post assessments to ensure measurable knowledge gain and long-term impact.
Our work under the S&L initiative is a testament to Anant Enterprises’ ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between policy, industry, and consumer behavior. By empowering thousands of retail professionals, we are actively contributing to national goals of energy conservation and sustainable development.
